Part2. Faber to Montag

Dear Montag,

My dear friend Montag. I hope you are doing alright at this point in time. It is something more serious that I wish to write to you about though. You see, I wish to explain to you the importance behind books. I know they are forbidden and a man will get his house and all of his possessions burned for even having one. It is here that you must be wondering that there must be something amazing in them for people to take this risk just to keep them in their house. Well, what is in them is very difficult to explain, almost impossible. It is a feeling of any emotion you wish happiness, love, sadness or even anger. They are all scripted neatly and carefully onto some pieces of paper that are bound together to form a book. Behind each one of these books, is a man or woman who spent hours on hours thinking and pouring their heart out into their book. Now, when we read it, it's like we are absorbing part of them. We get to see inside of someone's mind. By reading these, we keep the brain healthy. You get to gain a vast variety of knowledge that the people of today seem to never know existed, or if they see someone who has it, they think they are crazy and stupid. Like I said, it is extremely hard to explain, but I hope that after you read this, you will have fully made up your mind to fight for our books.

From, Faber
